Indulge yourselves in the lukewarm waves of Phan Thiet beaches, the cool fresh mountain air and spectacular views of pine forests, beautiful lakes and waterfalls in Dalat, and in the riverine life of the hospitable Mekong Delta people by visiting floating markets and tasting tropical fruit and pancake flat.
Day 1: Arrival in Saigon (D) Arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport. Meet your Mekong Delta Travel guide and transfer to down town for sighseeing. City tour around the dynamic and bustling of HoChiMinh City from downtown Saigon to Chinatown. Go around Saigon, you will find many examples of French colonial architecture such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, the romantic Hotel de Ville and the central Ben Thanh Market. Go around Cholon, you will find a fascinating maze of narrow lanes, bustling markets and colourdul Chinese pagodas. Stop at a well-known lacquer workshop will help you to pick up some unique souvenirs. Enjoy the unique water puppet shows created by Ly kings in the 11th century. Enjoy dinner with traditional music at the Royal Court Restaurant. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Saigon – Phan Thiet (B) AM: After breakfast at hotel transfer to Phan Thiet, where is famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches, charming fishing village and best known for its nuoc mam (fish sauce) and fishing industry, stop- over at rubber plantations. PM: Check in the resort at arrival. Indulge yourselves in the lukewarm waves of Phan Thiet beaches. Overnight in resort.
Day 3: Phan Thiet – Dalat (BLD) AM: Breakfast at the resort, then visit to magnificent sand dune and fishing village. PM: Departure for Dalat which is situated in a temperate region dotted with lakes and waterfalls and surrounded by evergreen forests, is the most delightful city in all of Vietnam with the cool fresh breeze and the fragrances of flowers. Stop- over at Cham towers of Po Klong Garai and grape farm. Check in the hotel on arrival. At leisure time. Overnight in Dalat.
Day 4: Dalat (BLD) AM: After breakfast at the hotel citytour includes: Truc Lam Pagoda, Lake Tuyen Lam, Domain Church, Valley of Love and flower farm. PM: Take a train to Trai Mat. Visit to Linh Phuoc Pagoda, vegetable farm and SOS village. Overnight in Dalat.
Day 5: Dalat – Saigon (BLD) After breakfast at hotel departure for Saigon. Stop- over at Prenn Falls, this is one of the largest and most beautiful falls in the Dalat area, and Fairy Spring. On the way back, stop at Bao Loc, visit tea & coffee factory. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 6: Saigon – Caibe – Mekong Delta on private SONG XANH sampan (BLD) 08:00 : Our Driver pick you up at your place in Saigon, then proceed to Cai Be. 10:30 : After your installation, the cruise will begin with the visit of Cai Be colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Stop for visiting at an ancient mandarin house dating from 1890 where you will we welcomed by the owners. Another stop at some local home factories will allow you to observe how rice paste, coconut candies and other specialties are traditionally made. We will proceed to Phu An hamlet, an untouched beautiful area reflecting some of the best sights the Mekong Delta can offer. A delicious lunch will await you at "Le Longanier", a superb Indochinese villa located by the river, in a lush tropical garden surrounded by fruit plantations. After lunch, your sampan will proceed to Sa Dec via Vinh Long, cruising by Dong Phu and An Binh islets famous for their fruit orchards. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River bring about large networks of meandering rivers, criss-crossed with countless arroyos, and remaining unknown to many people. Crossing the large Co Chien River we will pass under the spectacular My Thuan Bridge. On the banks, some dark smokes in the sky will lead us to one of the largest artisanal bricks and tiles factory where you will have an interesting visit.
Further, Sa Dec town will appear like a little “Venice” with numerous narrow canals… You will disembark for a guided visit of this charming town, walking along its narrow streets where beautiful French old houses and Chinese temples dating from the last century are numerous… You will visit the local market and the Trung Vuong primary school where well known writer Marguerite Duras spent her childhood (see her famous novel turned into the famous movie “The Lover”). Back on board your sampan, you will enjoy a romantic dinner served on the deck during the sunset. After dinner, your bed will be ready for your first night on the Mekong river… Overnight on board “Song Xanh” sampan.
Day 7: Sa Dec – Cai Rang Floating market – Saigon (BLD) While still sleeping, your sampan will cruise slowly to Can Tho. 07:00 : Your breakfast will be served on board. We will pass by several luxuriant islands, crossing countless sampan boats carrying sand, rice, fruits and vegetables, fish, showing an intense activity on the river.
08:00 : Your Sampan will reach Can Tho. After then we will proceed the cruise upstream the river to Cai Rang colorful floating market, where you will have an exciting discovery on board our charming rowing sampan… Back on board your sampan, we will proceed the cruise to Binh Thuy. There you will disembark for an exciting bicycle ride through the lush countryside. A visit will be done at “Lang Hoang Gia”, a beautiful old mandarin house, used in the movie “The Lover” (M. Duras novel)…
11:30 : Your cruise journey will end. End of the cruise and services. Our Driver pick you up then transfer to Saigon. Stop-over at My Tho for having lunch at charming restaurant. Check-in the hotel in Saigon on arrival. O/N in Saigon.
Day 8: Saigon – Departure (B) Free time for shopping. Transfer to airport for departure.
