7D MEKONG DELTA WITH HOME STAY & MYSTERIOUS ANGKOR WAT

Day 1: Saigon – Caibe – floating market – Home stay in Caibe (Dinner) 13.00: Our Tour Guide & Driver pick you up at your place in Saigon, then star trip to Caibe. 15.00am: Arrive to Cai Be, take a short rest after check-in the home stay, then balance of the day will be at leisure on your own or take a walk around the village yourselves for more discovery of the area before dinner. Or an optional one hour cycling tour around the village to explore local life there, you will have another opportunity to try snake wine and the others while enjoying seasonal fruit. After then, back to your home stay. The family will be your host for this evening and tell you more about the typical life in the Mekong region. Another option is to go down the kitchen for part of the cooking class if you wish. Then enjoy dinner. A traditional music show, called Tai Tu will be performed by the locals after dinner in a quiet Bonsai garden while hot green tea will be served by your hosts. Overnight at local house – BA KIET ancient house.
Day 2: Caibe – Dong Hoa Hiep – Caibe – Can Tho City (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) After breakfast, you start walking on a small trail along the river to see the daily life of the locals, and visit the village market which is just held early in the morning for the so busy farmers to buy things for the day. The market is also a place where you can interact with and take photo of the locals. Afterwards, you bid farewell to your hosts and take your morning boat trip to visit of Cai Be colourfull floating market. We will proceed by the visit of some local home factories such as rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, longans drying processing. You will then return on board the boat to proceed the excursion to Dong Hoa Hiep island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be during a 40 minutes cruise to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. Stops on the way can be made upon request for particular visits or photos making. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people. Visit at an ancient mandarin house dating from the last century where the familly descendants will welcome you with a cup a warm green tea. Back on board the boat for a 20 minutes cruise to Phu An hamlet passing by Cai Be beautiful church. The excursion will end at Ba Bon bridge where your own private transportation vehicle will await you. Lunch will await you at charming restaurant. After lunch, our Driver pick you up then proceed to Can Tho city. Sightseeing on the way. Check-in the hotel in Cantho on arrival. Take a rest until having dinner at charming restaurant. Day 3: Can Tho – Cai Rang floating market – Chau Doc (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to the pier for taking the boat ride on Mekong River which is the longest and most prosperous in Asia, visit the famous floating market Cai Rang, where you can see the daily life and local people selling their products on boats. Then cruising to small cannels to visit one of the local family and their orchard, taste tropical fruits, green tea. Finish boat trip then continue route to Chau Doc. On the way, visit Binh Thuy ancient temple, Southern Museum. Haing lunch in Can Tho. After then proceed to Chau Doc, located on the upper Mekong Delta, the town is 280km south-west of Saigon on to the Cambodian border. With such proximity the local population is an eclectic mix of Cham, Khmer, Chinese and Vietnamese sharing different cultures and historical richness. Arrive to Chau Doc in late afternoon, check-in the hotel and take a short rest. After then visit: Tay An pagoda, Lady Chua Xu Temple, Nui Sam mountain. Enjoy dinner at local restaurant. O/N at hotel in Chau Doc.
Day 4: Chau Doc – Phnompenh (By High Speed Boat) (BD) After breakfast we board an express boat for a trip along the Mekong River (boat leaves ChauDoc at 07.00am) crossing into Cambodia and continuing onto its capital. Arrival to Phnom Penh around 12.00am. Meet our Tour Guide & Driver at the pier boat, then city tour PNH, visit: Independent Monument National Museum, Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, and Wat Phnom. Having lunch at restaurant. PM: Continue your program and visit: the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) and Killing Field of Cheoung Ek. Free at leisure until having dinner at restaurant. O/N at hotel in PNH.
Day 5: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap – By BUS (Join-in) (5-6hrs drive) (BD) Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to express bus station for departure to Siem Reap with our Tour Guide (5-6 hours drive). Arrival to Siem Reap and transfer to hotel for check in. Having lunch at restaurant on the way by your own account. PM: Visit Les Artisan D’ Angkor, then enjoy Sun Set at Phnom Bakheng Temple. Evening: enjoy dinner at restaurant with Apsara dance show. O/N at hotel in REP.
Day 6: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat temple (BD) Breakfast at the hotel. All day visit Angkor Wat, visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphuon, Royal Enclosure Phimeanakas, Elephants Terrace, Terrace of Leper King, and Tapromh Temple. Having lunch at restaurant. PM: Continue your program and visit the World Heritage of Angkor Wat Complex. Having dinner at restaurant. O/N at hotel in REP.
Day 7: Siem Reap – Banteay Srey – Departure (Late afternoon flight or evening flight) (B) Breakfast at hotel, start to visit Banteay Srey temple. A temple in the forest 25 kilometres to the north east of Angkor Thom. A jewel to which the nature of the material used - a finely textured rose colored sandstone - is perfectly suited. Monumental size and architectural theme give way to a miniature scale and a dense and exquisite detail in near perfect preservation. Dismantled and reconstructed between 1931 and 1936. On the way back visit Banteay Somre temple. Afternoon: Visit the Preah khan, Neak Pean, Prerup temple. At leisure or free for your own shopping until transfer to airport for flight departure to home. End of trip.
